How to make 2027 your year (without a 47-step plan)
Forget the giant resolutions. The people who change their year usually change something tiny.
Every January, the internet tells you to become a completely different person by February: new routine, new body, new you. And every February, most of us quietly give up. Here's a gentler way to make 2027 count.
Pick one thing, not twelve
Long resolution lists collapse under their own weight. Choose one area of your life you want to feel better about this year. Sleep, energy, your mornings, your skin. Just one.
Make it small enough to feel silly
"Sleep better" is a wish. "Phone out of the bedroom by 10:30" is a plan. The smaller the action, the more likely you'll actually do it on a random Wednesday in March.
Attach it to something you already do
New habits stick better when they ride along with old ones. Skincare right after brushing your teeth. Writing tomorrow's list right after you close the laptop.
You don't need a new you. You need better nights for the one you've already got.
Make it feel good
We stick with things that feel like treats, not punishments. That's why we love starting with bedtime: fresh sheets, a cool pillowcase, a few minutes of quiet. It's a habit you'll actually want to keep.
Check in on Sundays
Ask yourself one question each week: do I feel better than I did last week? If yes, keep going. If not, change one thing.
The short version
Pick one area, make the habit small, attach it to something you already do and make it feel good. Start with your nights.
